Hotel General Manager to lead our team and oversee the day-to-day performance of our property.
Our
87-room, all-suite hotel features spacious accommodations with full kitchens and amenities including complimentary hot breakfast, an outdoor pool, fitness center, business center, on-site laundry, complimentary parking, and meeting space. Located in Bradenton, the hotel provides convenient access to area beaches and popular destinations throughout the Sarasota-Bradenton area.
As General Manager, you will lead hotel operations with a focus on
guest satisfaction, team development, sales and revenue growth, financial performance, and Marriott brand standards.
What You'll Do- Lead daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and sales.
- Deliver exceptional guest service and promptly address guest concerns.
- Maintain Marriott brand standards and guest satisfaction expectations.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop a strong hotel team.
- Set clear performance expectations and hold associates accountable to company policies and procedures.
- Partner with Human Resources on employee relations, performance management, leave, workers' compensation, and other personnel matters.
- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to drive occupancy and revenue.
- Partner with Sales and Revenue Management on pricing, inventory, and revenue strategies.
- Manage operating budgets, forecasts, expenses, and overall hotel profitability.
- Review P&L performance and take action to improve financial results.
- Maintain appropriate cash controls and safeguards for company assets.
- Partner with property accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Conduct regular property inspections and maintain high standards for cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and appearance.
- Promote a professional, respectful, safe, and positive work environment.
- Build relationships within the local community and identify opportunities to promote the hotel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For- 2-3 years of hotel management or related experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred
- Previous Marriott or extended-stay hotel experience is a plus
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Guest-focused with effective problem-solving skills
- Financial acumen with an understanding of hotel budgets, forecasting, and P&L performance
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hotel environment
- Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions
