Summary

General Manager is the hallmark of the operation. It will be incumbent upon the General Manager to foster an environment where creativity, customer service, event sales and sport are all able to thrive. We are the curators of a unique entertainment environment that will require constant focus on talent, development and all of the major disciplines acquired in previous, hospitality-driven, general management roles. The General Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, such as payroll for employees, understanding and managing profit-loss statements, and all other pertinent business matters.

Essential Functions

  • Supervise the operation of the floor and bar to maximize profitability, minimize legal liability, and conform to operational regulations.
  • Ensure a safe environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.Complete accident reports promptly in the event a customer or employee is injured.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire employees; supervise, take disciplinary actions, motivate and train. • Conduct orientation and oversee the training of new employees.
  • Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews.
  • Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.
  • Control day-to-day operations by scheduling labor, ordering supplies, and developing the SPIN team.
  • Ensure compliance of Occupational Safety and Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy.
  • Control Profit & Loss by following cash control procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions.
  • Pre-event and on-site communication with the events team.
  • Work closely with internal sales department and client to understand event goals, objectives and specific implementation plans that promote the SPIN brand.
  • Troubleshoot and smooth issues relating to the successful execution of the event.
