The General Manager ("GM") is a member of the exceptional leadership team. Within the role, this individual is responsible for the daily supervision of the non-clinical personnel and overall efficient operation of the surgery center. The GM demonstrates ongoing contributions to the organization's core mission, values, and vision.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Supervises overall running of center(s), ensuring efficiencies and high reliability operations.
  • Responsible for staffing of center and evaluating staff to ensure top performance.
  • Manages costs and analyzes reporting from corporate to ensure all metrics are met.
  • Oversee the work of the Material's Manager to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Key contact for physician's onsite.
  • Responsible for creating a positive work culture and fostering positive work relationships among staff, doctors and patients.
  • Monitors staff's payroll, including time cards, approves overtime, and time off requests.
  • Implements and monitors office policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, training and compliance.
  • Promotes compliance with government regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.
  • Maintains accreditation readiness.
  • Identifies and seeks approval for facility improvements and repairs.
  • Ensures that appropriate record keeping is maintained and incidents reported relative to the emergency generator, utilities, security, environment, and emergency preparedness drills.
  • Assists with scheduling staff.
  • Must stay abreast and compliant with current healthcare regulations, medical laws and ethics.
  • Ensures patient records are completed timely and in line with corporate metrics.
  • Ensure employee files are complete and up to date.
  • Oversees registration of patients, to ensure efficiency and patient satisfaction from the first onsite contact within the center.
  • Communicates with patients regarding inquiries and complaints.
  • Responsible for the ordering of office and janitorial supplies.
  • Maintains physician and staff credentialing files.
  • Participates and leads in several committees including, Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Committee (QAPI), Utilization Committee Meetings, and Professional Standards Committee.
  • Serves as a liaison, between the professional standards committee, medical staff, and all departments of the center, including responsibilities of reporting pertinent activities to the professional standards committee.
  • Identifies improvement opportunities by benchmarking.
  • Maintains patient, physician, and employee privacy and confidentiality per policy.
  • Communicates effectively and courteously with visitors, physicians and their office staffs, patients, and employees.
  • Additional duties assigned by C.E.O., and R.D.O.
  • Travel to other facilities on a need be basis.


Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 2-years experience in a supervisory role or in an assistant role, in a similar setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Familiar with medical record requirements.

Requirements:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Ability to create spreadsheets/reports
