Who You'll Work WithSlalom is actively seeking a Client Partner in Chicago to grow the Slalom brand within our HCLS portfolio, with a particular focus on retail pharmacy. This Client Partner will lead efforts to solve some of the industry's most pressing challenges, leveraging the full breadth of Slalom's services and capabilities. This opportunity is targeted at the Director level.

Candidates must be located within a reasonable commuting distance of the Chicago metropolitan area. What You'll DoBusiness Development:
- Identify and lead opportunities within our managed healthcare and life sciences accounts, including health systems, payers, providers, and retail pharmacy organizations.
- Comfortably sell to and create new opportunities across the HCLS portfolio, spanning clinical, operational, digital, data, and regulatory initiatives.
- Own and manage the full lifecycle of a consulting sales process and all steps in the pre-sales motions for advisory and delivery work in HCLS.
- Maintain an ongoing presence in the HCLS market to establish Slalom as a top-of-mind strategy, business, and technology consulting partner for healthcare and life sciences clients.
Client Service and Delivery Leadership:
- Drive account growth by developing annual account plans for HCLS clients and executing strategies that drive new sales and deepen existing relationships.
- Guide delivery teams to ensure strong execution that is aligned with client goals, clinical outcomes, regulatory requirements, and patient/member experience.
- Utilize your deep HCLS industry knowledge to partner with clients, influence strategic direction, and identify ways Slalom can help them achieve business and clinical objectives.
- Lead from the front through billable roles on active engagements-such as client service lead, delivery lead, SME, engagement lead, or accountable executive.
- Provide oversight and governance across all sold/managed HCLS engagements. Operate a fiscally healthy portfolio, managing levers such as utilization, revenue, gross profit, and pipeline.
Portfolio Leadership (HCLS):
- Assist in developing the HCLS industry strategy and business plan for the portfolio, with a focus on growth in key segments such as provider, payer, life sciences, and retail pharmacy.
- Collaborate with other practices (e.g., technology, data, experience, organizational effectiveness) to bring integrated HCLS solutions to market.
- Identify opportunities for growth and maturation of Slalom's HCLS offerings and help set the direction for that evolution.
- Provide thought leadership to clients by developing market points of view on emerging HCLS trends, challenges, and innovations.
What You'll BringIndustry Background / Knowledge (Healthcare & Life Sciences)
- Deep understanding in at least one of the following sub-industries: provider (health systems, hospitals, physician groups), payer (health plans), retail pharmacy, or life sciences (pharma/biotech/medtech).
- Strong knowledge of healthcare and life sciences market structure (care delivery models, reimbursement, value-based care, ecosystem partners, enabling technologies, and relevant regulatory topics).
- Lead and participate in complex discussions with professionals and senior executives across health systems, payers, retail pharmacy chains, life sciences organizations, and regulatory/standards bodies-translating industry trends and data-driven insights into actionable strategies.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Healthcare & Life Sciences (provider, payer, retail pharmacy, or life sciences) OR a minimum of 5 years' experience within a leading consulting firm with a primary focus on HCLS functions and clients.
- MBA, MHA, MPH, or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Comfortable working with and selling to senior HCLS executives (e.g., C-suite, service line leaders, pharmacy leaders, clinical operations, digital/IT leaders).
- You must live within a commutable distance of the Chicago metropolitan area.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges: The targeted base salary pay range for Director is $170,000 to $220,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
