Partner Solution Lead, Databricks - Central Region

Who You'll Work With

Slalom helps clients use data, AI, and modern cloud platforms to solve their most important business challenges. As a Databricks Partner Solution Lead, you will sit at the intersection of Slalom's Databricks business unit, regional sales teams, industry leaders, solution architects, and Databricks partner teams.

You will help shape high-impact pursuits, bring technical clarity to complex client problems, and design solutions that connect Databricks' Data Intelligence Platform with Slalom's broader consulting, engineering, industry, and delivery capabilities. This role is ideal for a senior technical leader who can move comfortably between executive conversations, solution architecture, partner strategy, and hands-on technical direction.

What You'll Do

Lead Databricks Solution Strategy: Partner with sales, industry, and Databricks teams to shape pursuits, qualify opportunities, define solution strategy, and create compelling proposals, presentations, demos, and statements of work.

Architect Modern Data and AI Platforms: Design scalable Databricks solutions across data engineering, lakehouse architecture, data warehousing, analytics, machine learning, GenAI, and agentic AI workloads.

Bring Databricks Platform Expertise: Advise clients on modern Databricks capabilities including Unity Catalog, Lakeflow, Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg interoperability, Databricks SQL, AI/BI, Genie, Mosaic AI, Agent Bricks, Model Serving, Vector Search, MLflow, Databricks Apps, and Lakebase.

Connect Business Value to Technical Decisions: Develop TCO, ROI, modernization, migration, and platform adoption narratives that help clients understand the business impact of Databricks investments.

Drive Partner-Led Growth: Work closely with Databricks field teams and Slalom market teams to identify, shape, and expand new and existing opportunities across priority industries and regions.

Create Repeatable Solutions: Contribute to reusable offerings, demos, reference architectures, accelerators, and sales plays that help Slalom scale its Databricks partnership.

Guide Delivery Excellence: Provide technical oversight during pursuit-to-delivery transitions, ensuring solutions are achievable, well-scoped, secure, governed, and aligned to client outcomes.

What You'll Bring

Senior Data and AI Architecture Experience: 8+ years in consulting, data architecture, analytics, AI, or cloud engineering, including 5+ years designing and delivering modern data platforms in cloud environments.

Databricks Depth: Hands-on experience with Databricks is required, including a strong understanding of Lakehouse architecture, data engineering, governance, analytics, and production implementation patterns.

Presales and Pursuit Leadership: 3+ years leading technical presales, solutioning, or pursuit processes, with demonstrated success partnering with sales and consulting leaders to craft client-specific solutions.

Modern AI Fluency: Familiarity with GenAI, agentic AI, RAG, ML/LLMOps, model evaluation, model serving, and governed AI patterns. Experience with Databricks Mosaic AI, Agent Bricks, MLflow, or Vector Search is a strong plus.

Cloud Platform Knowledge: Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP data services, including storage, networking, identity and access management, databases, compute, and security controls.

Commercial and Executive Presence: Ability to translate complex technical topics into business value for executives, technical buyers, and delivery teams.

Delivery Credibility: Background in data modeling, data pipeline development, DevOps, CI/CD, migration, performance optimization, and production platform operations.

Relationship Builder: Track record of growing client relationships, collaborating with partner field teams, and building trust across sales, delivery, and technical stakeholders.
