Overview

The ideal candidate will have extensive Gas Utilities experience specializing in utility construction, program management and client management. The role will lead the execution of Gas Utility projects, strategic initiatives, and client engagement to ensure the successful delivery of utility construction programs and exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Communicates with project team members and stakeholders on the development of compliant utility planning concepts in accordance with the appropriate construction standards and service requirements.
  • Maintains effective communication regarding design approach and decisions made during the planning process.
  • Substantial experience working with Designers, Planners, Engineers and Project Managers on matters related to various jobs and projects.
  • Manages project files and functional organization of design comments and iterations.
  • Meets with customers to identify specific design limitations, and customer requests.
  • Prepares construction orders with safe, reliable, and cost-effective designs approaches that conform to company standards, safety orders, and governmental regulations.
  • Identifies site-specific obstacles, communicates this information to customers, and presents design options for consideration.
Qualifications
  • 20-30 years of Gas Utility experience in program management is required, with a focus on utility construction and client management
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the interpretation and application of design and engineering principals, underground pipeline, gas transmission and distribution systems and CPUC Rules
  • Thorough knowledge of utility construction methods, materials, equipment, and regulatory requirements
  • Leadership acumen in managing complex programs with multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams

Pay Range: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid 3-4 days per week at the Chatsworth, Ontario or Santa Ana, CA office and travel to field sites as needed

Travel: Up to 30% travel in the Southern CA region

Visa Sponsorship: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship

Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-authorized physical including a drug-screening and background check
