As a Senior Project Manager within Pomerleau's Civil & Infrastructure division, you will contribute to specialized projects. Leading major construction and infrastructure projects ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion, you will work closely with our client groups and subcontractors while serving as an integral member of our project teams.
What you will do :
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with team members, business partners, consultants, and clients to achieve project objectives and vision.
• Support project management teams in developing and managing construction schedules, ensuring key milestones and completion dates are met.
• Leverage your financial management expertise to plan, manage, and control project budgets, costs, and procurement activities.
• Share your knowledge and mentor project team members, fostering professional growth and development opportunities.
• Ensure effective risk management practices are implemented to minimize project-related risks.
• Compile and finalize corporate-level project reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and environmental performance throughout the lifecycle of the project.
• Apply project-specific safety standards, promote Pomerleau's health, safety, and environmental requirements, and ensure compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and codes.
This role could be for you if you have :
• A minimum of 12 years of project management experience in the construction industry.
• Experience on transmission line construction projects is considered an asset.
• A university degree or technical diploma in engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and influencing skills, with a proven ability to solve problems and deliver successful project outcomes in complex and challenging environments.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project management practices, financial management, construction codes, and related legislation.
• A commitment to being a champion and role model for quality and health & safety best practices.
