SALARY: Starting Salary Opportunity: $ 96,000+
- Actual base pay will depend and vary based on factors such as individual experience and skills of the applicant.
BONUS: Bonus at Target: $ 24,000

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Tax Compliance & Reporting- Prepare and/or review income and indirect tax returns.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and remittances.
- Maintain organized records and reconciliations of tax-related documentation.
- Prepare monthly tax provisions and support financial reporting requirements.
Government Correspondence- Manage tax audits and inquiries from government agencies.
- Coordinate responses and gather supporting documentation.
- Monitor and reconcile various government statements of accounts.
- Track and maintain compliance with government reporting requirements.
Budgeting & Monitoring- Lead the budgeting and forecasting of tax payments and expenses.
- Prepare and maintain annual tax payment schedules and forecasts to support. cash flow planning.
- Compare forecasted vs. actual tax payments and provide insights to FP&A.
Ad Hoc Projects & Strategic Support- Identify opportunities to improve and automate tax processes.
- Research and interpret tax legislation to identify risks and opportunities.
- Review and update annual transfer pricing documentation.
- Manage relationships with consultants for tax incentive claims and recoveries.
- Advise on tax implications of business initiatives and transactions.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on tax matters.
- Support senior tax manager with ad hoc projects, including but not limited to tax planning / reorganizations.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation or working toward CPA preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of Canadian tax legislation (income and/or indirect tax).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with SAP is an asset.
- Completion of CPA In-Depth Tax courses or Master of Taxation is an asset.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
