Description Position OverviewRiVidium Inc. is seeking a highly skilled
Functional Specialist / IT Control Assessor to join our team in supporting the
IT Audit Management Team (ITAM). In this role, you will provide expertise, guidance, and thought leadership to ensure that IT audit management, statutory compliance, and internal control testing activities are executed seamlessly.
You will independently manage the detailed review of audit evidence, track information system vulnerabilities, and coordinate across internal and external organizations to ensure compliance with federal regulations and departmental policies.
Key Responsibilities & Duties - Audit Lifecycle Management: Support the full IT audit lifecycle by ensuring the timely and efficient receipt, coordination, tracking, remediation, response, and reporting of audit data.
- Independent Evidence Review: Manage detailed reviews of audit evidence, evaluate the quality of responses, and oversee audit remediation efforts to ensure process success.
- Vulnerability Tracking: Track and maintain information system vulnerabilities and vital audit correspondences; coordinate with internal and external organizations to satisfy audit inquiries.
- OMB A-123 Compliance: Perform IT control testing and assess compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures to support OMB A-123 internal control testing and complete the Statement of Assurance.
- Leadership Communications: Create clear, written updates and executive communications for the Audit Committee and A/CIO Leadership, ensuring findings are properly mapped to corrective actions and the audit remediation tracker.
- Briefings & Metrics: Provide detailed analysis, status reports, and metrics to leadership concerning the active status of findings.
- Process Improvement: Recommend industry best practices and develop actionable implementation plans for continuous process improvement.
Required Qualifications - Experience: 7-10 years of experience in a distinct functional or cross-functional business area (e.g., Information Technology, Information Assurance, Cyber Security, or Engineering).
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Information Assurance, Cyber Security, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
- Compliance Knowledge: Proven working knowledge of FISMA (Federal Information System Modernization Act) and FSA (Financial Statement Audit) requirements.
- Audit Expertise: Strong experience coordinating activities associated with IT audits and mitigating identified vulnerabilities.
- Tool & Method Competency: Broad-based market experience (Government or industry) including relevant knowledge of IT audit and assessment tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Desired Qualifications - Familiarity or prior experience working with the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), and specific agency offices/programs.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISA, CRISC, CISSP, or CIA).
The annual salary range for this position is $130,000-$140,000.The listed salary range represents a general guideline; however, RiVidium Inc. considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. At RiVidium Inc. it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
