Overview
Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Platform Engineer. The Full-Stack Platform Engineer provides senior technical leadership and hands-on engineering for a secure enterprise data analytics platform supporting a federal environment. The role designs and delivers scalable web applications, APIs, data integrations, cloud solutions, and secure development practices while guiding technical decisions and resolving complex platform issues.

Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, design, and development of full-stack solutions using React, Node.js/Express, Python (Flask/FastAPI), REST APIs, and advanced SQL.
- Design and support cloud-based data integrations, ETL/ELT pipelines, Databricks or equivalent analytics services, and data quality capabilities.
- Establish secure engineering and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD, automated security testing, containerization, infrastructure as code, and code reviews.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities, including LLM APIs, RAG patterns, prompt engineering, and secure handling of sensitive data.
- Architect solutions within AWS using appropriate IAM, networking, secrets management, encryption, logging, and security controls.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, support production troubleshooting, and communicate technical recommendations to stakeholders.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of software/platform engineering experience, including senior technical leadership or architecture responsibilities.
- Strong experience with React, Python and/or Node.js, REST APIs, advanced SQL, AWS, and modern data platforms.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes or ECS, Terraform, Git, and automated security tooling.
- Knowledge of application security, IAM/RBAC, OWASP practices, observability, and secure cloud architecture.
- Experience supporting federal or regulated environments and familiarity with FISMA, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and ATO processes.
- Preferred certifications include AWS, CISSP/Security+, Databricks, CKA/CKS, or comparable technical credentials.
Salary = $200,000 - $220,000
