Job Description:Job SummaryThe Front End Software Developer will work as part of a multidisciplinary Agile team developing and maintaining next-generation mission management applications. The role focuses on front-end development, user interface design, responsive web applications, automated testing, cloud-native microservices, and integration with modern software development and DevSecOps practices.
The developer will contribute to designing, developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining data-rich applications with complex user workflows. The position requires strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills, experience with modern front-end frameworks, and the ability to collaborate effectively within an Agile development environment.
ResponsibilitiesFront-End Software Development- Develop and maintain web applications and user interfaces.
- Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces for data-rich applications.
- Develop and maintain front-end components using JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Work with HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
- Integrate user interfaces with RESTful APIs and WebSockets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and defects.
Software Development & Testing- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and microservices.
- Write automated tests for software components.
- Apply Test Driven Development practices where appropriate.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards of software quality.
- Work with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and REST microservices as part of the broader application stack.
Cloud & DevSecOps- Deploy applications through automated DevSecOps pipelines.
- Work with AWS cloud services and cloud-native technologies.
- Support CI/CD processes using GitLab and related tools.
- Work with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving bugs within development and deployment environments.
Agile Collaboration- Participate in Agile stand-up meetings and other Agile ceremonies.
- Work within Agile Kanban development processes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary development teams.
- Communicate project status and technical issues effectively.
- Participate in technical exchange meetings and contribute to team problem-solving.

Required Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in front-end development.
- TS/SCI with CI Poly or willingness to obtain CI Poly.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Strong understanding of HTML/CSS and responsive design principles.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and WebSockets.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to work within Agile Kanban processes and dynamic development environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team.
- Current Security+ certification or willingness to obtain it.
Desired Qualifications- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps processes and tools.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services.
- Experience with container management tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Git/GitLab source code management.
- Experience using Test Driven Development tools such as Cypress and Mockito.
- Experience with database systems such as MySQL and Redis.
- Willingness to contribute to full-stack development.
