The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a dedicated Front End Software Developer with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance with the Maryland customer to join our dynamic team in Sterling, Virginia. You will be responsible for contributing to the design, development, and implementation of complex software applications that directly impact our organization’s success and support our customers mission-critical systems. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring you to be in the Virginia office three days a week and work out of our Maryland office for the rest of the week.

Responsibilities:

• Participation in the full software development lifecycle, with a primary focus on frontend development from requirement gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Develop strategic vision and product development roadmaps with an emphasis on frontend technologies and user experience.
• Design and implement new frontend architectures and user interfaces to enhance user experience and application performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers, and other developers, to ensure seamless integration of frontend and backend components.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior frontend developers, fostering their professional growth.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain frontend code quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Investigate and resolve moderately complex frontend technical issues, identifying opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and provide frontend technical expertise and solutions.
• Stay up to date with emerging frontend technologies, industry advancements, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Experienced frontend developer with strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular.
• Proficiency in frontend development tools and libraries, and frontend testing frameworks (e.g. Vite, Webpack, Vitest, Jest, Playwright).
• Knowledge of software design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and architecture principles with a focus on frontend development.
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
• Familiarity with backend development technologies, such as Java, to support full-stack capabilities.
• Container Orchestration and Management experience using technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Database expertise in integrating and optimizing both relational databases (e.g., MySQL, MariaDB) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, InfluxDB), with a focus on performance enhancement.
• DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, source control and associated tools (e.g., Git, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Nexus, Ansible).
• Data Visualization and Monitoring experience using tools like Grafana and Kibana to create insightful dashboards and perform real-time data analysis.
• Security practices and familiarity with authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms.
• Agile methodologies experience such as Scrum or Kanban, and familiarity with related issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  

Qualifications:

Required: 

• Active Top Secret Security Clearance (TS/SCI) with Poly
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in frontend development or related roles.
• Proven track record of delivering moderately complex frontend projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Experience in frontend development with a willingness to work across the full stack.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  

Desired:

• IT professional certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+) or equivalent industry-recognized security credential.
• Experience in developing, implementing, and optimizing WebAssembly (Wasm) solutions for web applications.
• Familiarity developing cross-platform desktop applications using frameworks such as Electron or Tauri.
• Experience using big data technologies for large-scale processing
