Role OverviewAs Gumloop's Founding SDR Manager, you will build our outbound prospecting function from the ground up, working directly with leadership and partnering across Sales, Marketing, and GTM Ops. You will develop and prove a repeatable motion for reaching mid-market and enterprise accounts, then recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of approximately four SDRs in San Francisco or Vancouver.
You will own the outbound engine: cold calling, personalized outreach, account-based prospecting, and multi-threading across buying committees. Gumloop's GTME team already runs much of the automated outbound infrastructure. We need someone exceptional at turning that intelligence into real buyer conversations and qualified pipeline, not another sequence builder.
What you'll do- Personally build and run a repeatable outbound engine: cold calling, personalized outreach, account-based prospecting, and multi-threading into mid-market and enterprise buying committees.
- Hire, onboard, and coach an initial team of about 4 SDRs with playbooks and metrics on qualified meetings and pipeline.
- Establish prospecting playbooks, coaching cadence, and performance standards for the SDR org.
- Partner with Marketing, GTME, and GTM Ops to refine targeting, messaging, and qualification from real prospect conversations.
- Use AI for research, prioritization, and personalization without replacing human-led calling.
- Turn GTME automated outbound intelligence into buyer conversations and qualified pipeline.
What you bring- 4-8 years of B2B SaaS sales, starting as a high-performing outbound SDR or BDR.
- Progressed into SDR leadership, an AE seat, or building outbound at a startup.
- Proven cold calling and enterprise prospecting: buying committees, persona mapping, and multi-threading.
- Have built or meaningfully improved an outbound motion, not only executed an inherited playbook.
- Have coached, mentored, or managed SDRs and can hire and develop a small team.
- Willing to personally get on the phones while standing up the function.
- Self-directed; comfortable with autonomy in an early-stage environment.
Bonus- Experience at both a scaled SaaS sales org and an early-stage startup.
- First SDR hire or helped build an SDR function from scratch.
- AE experience after starting in sales development.
- Sold into technical or enterprise buying groups (IT, Ops, RevOps).
- Hands-on with Salesforce, sales engagement platforms, dialers, and modern prospecting tools.
- Familiarity with AI-powered GTM workflows used to improve outbound productivity.

- $350/month wellness benefit to spend on gym, spa, equipment, or whatever keeps you at your best
