Summary Description:
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will integrate and deploy Syntiant software on new platforms on-site in customer environments. You will work directly with customers, get hands-on with target hardware, troubleshoot deployment issues, and help drive successful technical outcomes for projects in our federal business.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field or equivalent experience.
3+ years of professional software development.
Strong C++ and Python experience.
Experience working in large, complex codebases.
Experience with Embedded Linux.
Experience with NVIDIA Jetson platforms.
Ability to work quickly and independently in fast-paced, ambiguous field environments.
Comfortable working with customers and end-users, including non-technical stakeholders.
Travel to customer sites including test ranges and military installations (up to 2 weeks at a time).
U.S citizen with security clearance or ability to get one.
Familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
Computer Vision or Audio experience is a plus.
Familiarity with autonomous vehicles is a plus.

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting base pay for this role is targeted to be between $195,000 - $225,000. Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Syntiant, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company. It is to be expected that candidates will come to us with different sets of skills and experiences and therefore will be paid at different points in the stated range.
