What we need...We're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our Product team in New York.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing technical role focused on helping strategic customers design, validate, and launch high-impact use cases on top of the YOOBIC platform.
You'll work at the intersection of Product, Engineering, AI, Customer Success, Implementation, and Pre-Sales. Your mission will be to bridge the gap between customer needs and technical execution by configuring YOOBIC, connecting systems and data, prototyping automations, and applying AI where it creates measurable value.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background who enjoys working directly with customers and can translate complex operational needs into practical product, integration, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.
This is not a traditional software engineering role, but you should be comfortable getting hands-on with APIs, data, scripts, automation tools, technical configuration, and prototypes.
What you'll do...- Work directly with strategic customers to understand their workflows, pain points, data landscape, systems, and business goals.
- Participate in customer workshops, including in-person sessions, to identify high-value operational use cases and technical requirements.
- Design and deliver end-to-end use cases leveraging the YOOBIC platform, including communications, task management, learning, forms, audits, reporting, integrations, and AI-powered experiences.
- Build the "last mile" needed to make customer use cases successful: automation flows, API-based workflows, scripts, lightweight prototypes, configuration logic, dashboards, or technical documentation.
- Identify opportunities where AI can improve frontline execution, manager productivity, reporting, decision-making, or operational consistency.
- Prototype AI-powered workflows using LLM APIs, prompts, structured outputs, retrieval, tool chaining, agents, or automation tools.
- Support integrations with customer systems such as HRIS, LMS, CRM, ticketing tools, BI tools, data warehouses, retail systems, and third-party platforms.
- Work with APIs, webhooks, authentication, JSON, data mapping, and integration logic to support customer use cases.
- Test and iterate with real users, then help move workflows from prototype to pilot or production.
- Feed customer learnings, product gaps, technical blockers, and repeatable patterns back into Product and Engineering.
- Create reusable assets such as technical documentation, automation templates, integration patterns, demo environments, and implementation guides.
- Partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, ML Engineers, Customer Success, Implementation, Pre-Sales, Sales, and Support.
What you have...- 5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, implementation engineering, technical consulting, software engineering, or a similar role.
- Strong technical fluency, including experience working with APIs, webhooks, authentication, JSON, databases, scripts, and modern SaaS workflows.
- Experience building or configuring prototypes, internal tools, integrations, automations, dashboards, or lightweight technical solutions.
- Strong interest in AI, LLMs, workflow automation, and practical enterprise use cases.
- Comfort working with data, including data mapping, validation, large datasets, reporting, or identifying key signals.
- Ability to work directly with customers, ask good questions, explain technical topics clearly, and build trust with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Product mindset: you can frame a problem, define success criteria, prioritize trade-offs, and identify what should become reusable.
- Bias for action, ownership, and comfort with ambiguity.
- Right to work in US
- Fluent in English; French is a strong plus.
Nice to have (bonus)...- Hands-on scripting or prototyping experience with Python, JavaScript, SQL, or similar.
- Experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, retail tech, hospitality tech, frontline operations, or workforce management.
- Experience with workflow automation tools such as n8n, Make, Zapier, Power Automate, or similar.
- Experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, agents, retrieval, structured outputs, or AI evaluation workflows.
- Experience working with enterprise customers, including security, access control, compliance, and production rollout constraints.
- Experience creating reusable technical assets, templates, internal tools, or implementation playbooks.
