Job SummaryJob Summary:
Working as a Retail Manager supporting Morrison Healthcare accounts throughout the Florida market, you will help lead successful retail and cafeteria operations in partnership with account leadership. You will support daily operations, staff training, customer service, retail marketing, and financial performance across multiple locations. Must be flexible to travel throughout Florida, including overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports retail and cafeteria operations across Morrison Healthcare accounts in the Florida market
- Partners with account leadership to maintain consistent service, food quality, merchandising, and presentation standards
- Plans and supervises special functions, maintains cash controls and payroll records, and assists with hiring and training hourly team members
- Ensures customer satisfaction through safe, efficient operations and effective use of resources
- Trains and coaches staff in customer service, proper portioning, cashier skills, and food safety and sanitation
- Supports retail marketing initiatives to increase customer engagement and sales
- Completes daily, weekly, and monthly operational and financial reports within established deadlines
- Communicates effectively with account leadership, team members, patients, families, and customers
- Implements and maintains cash handling standards to protect company funds and prevent theft
- Travels to assigned accounts throughout Florida, including overnight stays, based on business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management or a related field, or an associate degree with three years of directly related experience preferred
- One to three years of retail foodservice management experience preferred, depending on education and training
- Experience with cash retail operations, merchandising, and retail marketing
- Knowledge of food and catering trends, quality standards, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- P&L accountability and contract foodservice experience desirable
- Strong supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with management, customers, and associates
- Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business software
Travel Requirement:
- Must be willing and able to travel throughout the Florida market, including overnight stays
