About the Role:FL114, Inc. is seeking an outstanding
Senior Research Associate to join our
Genomics team. We're looking for a skilled, NGS-focused molecular biologist to assist in the development and advancement of our epigenetic editing programs, from early discovery research to preclinical development and beyond. The successful candidate will be an essential member of a close-knit team of experimental and computational scientists. We are looking for enthusiastic, detail oriented, adaptive, and highly motivated individuals with a passion for bringing novel medicines to patients. Applicants should be comfortable working on a fast-paced, cross-functional scientific team.
Key Responsibilities:- Execution of NGS-based functional genomics assays in a high-throughput production environment that address core R&D needs in cell state mapping and therapeutic molecular validation
- Collaborate with research teams to help develop and support fit-for-purpose NGS solutions and molecular and cellular assay technologies
- Contribute to the development and execution of specialized molecular assays
Required Skills:- 2+ years of hands-on experience performing NGS library prep for Illumina platforms
- Familiarity with ATAC-seq, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, Methyl-Seq, and/or 10X Single-cell
- Direct experience operating Illumina instruments
- Familiarity with liquid handlers and Kingfisher automation
- Proficiency with quantification/QC platforms (Qubit, TapeStation/BioAnalyzer)
- Hands-on experience with core molecular biology techniques such as nucleic acid extraction/purification, PCR/qPCR, restriction digestion/ligation
- Comfortable troubleshooting and optimizing assays/protocols
- Experience in an industrial, drug-development environment preferred
- Experience in immunological indications preferred
The salary range for this role is $81,000 - $107,250. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. FL114 currently offers healthcare coverage, annual incentive program, retirement benefits and a broad range of other benefits.
