Full Job Description
Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking a hands-on Firm Administrator to oversee the accounting, human resources, technology, and operational functions of our law firm client. This is a highly visible position reporting directly to leadership and offers the opportunity to play a key role in the firm's continued growth and success.
This position is ideal for an experienced business professional who enjoys wearing multiple hats and partnering with leadership on both day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
  • Oversee full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll review, and general ledger activity
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis
  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors
  • Maintain and improve financial controls and accounting procedures
Human Resources & Payroll
  • Oversee employee onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and personnel records
  • Coordinate payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
  • Support employee relations, performance management, and HR initiatives
  • Serve as primary liaison with benefit providers and HR vendors
Operations & Administration
  • Manage day-to-day office operations and vendor relationships
  • Oversee office facilities, equipment, and administrative processes
  • Support organizational planning, process improvements, and special projects
  • Develop and implement operational best practices to improve efficiency
Technology & Systems
  • Serve as the primary liaison to outsourced IT providers and technology vendors
  • Coordinate system implementations, upgrades, and user support
  • Assist with cybersecurity, technology planning, and business continuity efforts
  • Help evaluate and improve business systems and reporting capabilities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, operations, business administration, or firm management
  • Experience working within a law firm, CPA firm, consulting firm, architecture/engineering firm, or other professional services environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and payroll processes
  • Experience supporting HR, employee benefits, and office operations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based business systems
  • Experience with QuickBooks, payroll platforms, HRIS systems, or similar business applications preferred
