The Financial Services EY EDGE (Exceptional Delivery and Growth Engine) practice provides specialized tax technical services to U.S. and global clients, leveraging deep process and service delivery expertise that sets EY apart. Within this, the FSO EDGE Wealth and Asset Management (WAM) team offers tailored tax support for the asset management industry. As a services manager, you'll collaborate with experienced professionals on hedge fund, private equity, and mutual fund taxation, including structuring, tax planning, and advisory services.

Your key responsibilities
  • Deliver and manage tax compliance and consulting work for clients
  • Recognize and escalate problem areas to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax returns, research, accounting, and projects
  • Consult with clients and escalate complex matters to senior management and subject-matter professionals
  • Lead projects and work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
  • Manage communications with client tax liaisons and trust teams to support informed decision-making
  • Maintain effective long-term relationships and manage workflow with clients
  • Manage engagement deliverables and team resources to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy
  • Provide leadership, feedback, and coaching to team members

To qualify for the role, you must have
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or Economics
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional services or tax services organization in the financial services industry
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Enrolled Agent (EA) or licensed attorney
  • Broad exposure to federal income taxation and exposure to state and local tax
  • Proficient in the use of various tax and accounting technologies
  • Excellent teaming, leadership, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $104,600 to $191,600. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $125,400 to $217,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
  • Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
