The Assistant Vice President (AVP) - Tax Support will act as a key liaison between the Tax and Financial Reporting functions, ensuring accurate, timely, and well-controlled tax-related reporting. The role supports financial statement reporting, audit processes, and tax compliance activities while maintaining strong governance, documentation, and audit readiness.
Responsibilities:Financial Reporting & Tax Integration
- Support the coordination and completion of the tax-related components of financial statements (e.g., current tax, deferred tax, tax disclosures)
- Ensure alignment between tax reporting outputs and financial reporting requirements (US GAAP / regulatory reporting)
- Assist in quarterly and year-end reporting cycles, including entity-level reporting, monthly provisions, JGAAP and Transfer Pricing reporting
Tax Compliance & Reporting Support
- Coordinate with Tax team to provide support for tax returns and related filings across legal entities
- Maintain and monitor tax calendars deliverables with the tax team (BEAT calcs, state apportionment, returns, gross assets,)
- Validate completeness and accuracy of data used in tax filings (tax rates, etc.)
- Support filing of indirect taxes (e.g., Annual 1099 / 1042, 871 withholding taxes, etc.) where applicable
Audit Support (External & Internal)
- Serve as a primary contact for tax-related audit requests (EY / internal audit)
- Provide audit support, including preparation of schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Ensure audit requests are tracked, responded to timely, and fully supported
- Assist with walkthroughs, explanations of tax positions, and documentation of processes
Documentation & Workpaper Management
- Prepare and maintain detailed tax workpapers supporting reported balances
- Ensure all tax computations and positions have appropriate technical support
- Maintain audit trail from source data through financial statements and tax filings
- Ensure second-level review and formal sign-off on material tax workpapers
The expected base salary ranges from $93,000 - $140,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, including Medical, Dental and 401K plans, successful candidates are also eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
