Full Job Description
The Assistant Vice President, Financial Reporting Application Power User and Master Data Support, will serve as a key support resource for critical financial reporting applications and related master data processes. The role is designed to bridge the gap between IT, Finance, and business users by providing application support, managing user inquiries, supporting static data maintenance, facilitating issue resolution, and helping ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting outputs. This position will support financial reporting operations by addressing production issues, maintaining key application processes, supporting account mappings and reporting hierarchies, and strengthening controls and audit readiness. This role will help improve data quality, reduce reporting disruptions, support end users, and enhance collaboration across Finance, IT, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support and Issue Resolution
  • Serve as a power user support resource for financial reporting applications, helping address technical issues, production issues, and user inquiries in a timely and effective manner.
  • Liaise with the SAP Support Team to support production issues, including: FX revaluation reversals and reruns, accrual object issues related to prepaid processes, and Asset Management Module issues related to fixed assets and depreciation runs.
  • Support prompt issue escalation and coordination with appropriate teams to minimize operational disruption and support timely resolution.
  • Help reduce downtime and improve system accessibility by providing users with timely assistance for application-related challenges.


Static Data and Master Data Support
  • Support the creation and maintenance of static data required for financial reporting applications, including accounts, profit centers, cost centers, and sub-accounts.
  • Help improve the timeliness and effectiveness of static data support to reduce delays and business disruption.
  • Support data integrity by helping maintain accurate, reliable, and consistent data used in financial reporting processes.


Financial Reporting Process Support
  • Maintain processes across applicable entities, including balance carryforward and period closure activities.
  • Support company initiatives that extend or enhance application functionality beyond current usage, including regression testing for power user functionality.
  • Assist in resolving data errors and reconciliation issues that may impact the accuracy, consistency, or timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Help improve financial reporting reliability by supporting early detection and resolution of data issues.


Account Mapping and Hierarchy Maintenance
  • Create and maintain account mappings across relevant Financial Reporting hierarchies, including the Financial Statement Hierarchy in SAP and OneStream, standalone and IHC hierarchies, Head Office hierarchy, and Hyperion hierarchy, as applicable.
  • Support consistent hierarchy maintenance to help reduce fragmentation across platforms and improve the consolidation and reporting process.


Controls, Compliance, and Audit Support
  • Support the introduction, maintenance, and strengthening of controls related to financial reporting applications, including US GAAP and application controls.
  • Support internal and external audit requests, including EDMO, SOX, External Audit, and EY requests related to SAP application controls required on a monthly basis.
  • Support Internal Audit activities, including the annual review of the chart of accounts.
  • Help maintain accurate data and thorough documentation to support compliance, audit readiness, and smoother audit processes.

Cross-Functional Coordination and User Enablement
  • Act as a liaison among IT, Finance, and business teams to support collaboration, communication, and alignment of priorities.
  • Promote clear communication between departments to reduce misunderstandings and streamline workflows.
  • Facilitate training and user support to improve application proficiency, operational efficiency, and user confidence.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including EDMO, to support business needs, reporting requirements, and application-related requests.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to manage competing priorities, support issue escalation, and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with SAP, OneStream, Hyperion, and hierarchy or master data maintenance is strongly preferred, based on the applications and hierarchies referenced in the role materials.


The expected base salary ranges from $115,000 - $180,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, including Medical, Dental and 401K plans, successful candidates are also eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
