United States Secret Service, Office of Protective Operations Financial Management Analyst Series Requested: 0501 Security Clearance: Top Secret Virtual/Remote: No Only current, full-time federal employees are eligible. Supervisory approval form must be signed Duties Help The Office of Protective Operations, U.S. Secret Service, is seeking a motivated detailee to join our dynamic team of financial management analysts and support the Deputy Chief. This opportunity offers a unique chance to contribute to mission-critical financial operations, collaborate with experienced professionals, and gain valuable insight into the protective mission of the USSS. The selected candidate will play a key role in advancing operational efficiency and supporting strategic objectives. Major Duties: - Conducts comprehensive financial analysis and evaluation of programs, budgets, and expenditures to ensure compliance with federal laws, regulations, and agency policies. - Develops, reviews, and interprets financial data, reports, and statements to support decision-making and resource allocation. - Prepares, monitors, and manages budgets, forecasts, and financial plans; identifies trends, variances, and potential issues. - Coordinates and collaborates with program managers, budget officers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. - Utilizes financial management systems and tools to track, reconcile, and report on financial activities. - Prepares briefing materials, presentations, and written reports for senior leadership and external oversight entities.   • Must have achieved a minimum of "meet expectations/proficiency" on latest performance appraisal/evaluation

  1. Complete the DHS Training Course 15 days prior to the arrival to the JDA.
  2. Complete the DHS Joint Duty Assignment Progress Plan to include:
    • Phase 1: Establish assignment objectives within the first 30 days of the JDA.
    • Phase 2: Complete a self-assessment of the duties performed at the mid-point of the JDA.
    • Phase 3: Complete a final review within the last 30 days of the JDA.
