Overview

This position will independently manage and develop business relations with Chinese financial institutions and BOC Affiliates, maintain and strengthen relationships with financial institutions by supporting their business growth and expanding the correspondent customer base, while executing BSA/KYC duties for customer/noncustomer relationships under the direction of the Team Lead.

Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Participate in the development of customer business models and conduct analysis to identify financial trends and make forecasts.
  • Independently conduct financial analysis of potential Chinese and customers (e.g. financial institutions) and prepare summary reports for the Management review.
  • Conduct research analysis and identify new business development opportunities to Management.
  • Proactively maintain regular contact with BOC entity and Great China customers for the opportunities to deliver added value to the existing customer relationships.
  • Independently prepare analytical reports, presentations and trend analyses in both English and Chinese.
  • Monitor the performance of customer deposits and conduct analyses to identify trends and potential impacts.
  • Develop and maintain deposit forecasting model and prepare analysis based on the model results.
  • Monitor economic and environmental factors for market/industry trends and determine their impacts on both US and China financial markets to support decision-making.
  • Actively engage in business development and community activities to promote the Bank27s reputation and enhance new business opportunities.
  • Manage as a project manager for assigned projects.

Relationship and Account Management

  • Independently manage relations with assigned customers to maintain existing business and seek potential business.
  • Monitor customers27 account balance on an ongoing basis and prepare account balance trends.
  • Conduct customers27 credit data reviews and analyze financial ratio, spreadsheets, and cash flow worksheets to evaluate the riskiness of customer relationships.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner and coordinate with other departments as needed.
  • Assess costs and risks associated with accounts and prepare plans to mitigate such.
  • Coordinate events, seminars, conferences, receptions and exhibitions to promote the Bank27s brand and business.
  • Conduct market research and evaluate business trends that may impact the business.
  • Prepare marketing materials in accordance with the Bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and update customer profile in related systems.
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping of assigned customers for up-to-date documentations.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all correspondent banks in case of RMA establishment.

Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance and Internal Audit (22Risk Management22)

  • Independently perform due diligence reviews (e.g. CDD, EDD, sanctions/PEP/Negative News screening) on assigned customers/noncustomer and refresh reviews. Report any unusual activity to supervisor when necessary.
  • Evaluate prospective customers for the purpose of AML/KYC and ensure the potential prospects meet the bank27s risk appetite.
  • Coordinate the annual relationship review, contacting customers, conducting onsite visits, opening accounts, conducing due diligence for customer/noncustomer account, monitoring and closing accounts.
  • Communicate with customers regarding specific transactions to apply the Bank27s AML/KYC policy and provide feedback to the customers as to their sufficiency.
  • Execute monthly screenings on clients and related parties.
  • Ensure transactions are in compliance with Bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and validate USA Patriot Act certification and OFAC certification/re-certifications.
  • Process authentication and revocation of RMA keys as per other business request.
  • Prepare routine and ad-hoc reports including AML call reports.
  • Coordinate with BSA officer regarding tasks or matters from the compliance team.
  • Promptly respond to audit requests, provide required documents.
  • Review past audit findings to ensure no repeat issues occur.
  • Collaborate with compliance team on the AML/KYC process and ensure no overdue.
  • Analyze risks and propose mitigation recommendation associated with client relationships, balancing risk and return.
  • Actively execute FLURM tasks and projects, meeting deadlines and compliance standards.
  • Execute and manage FLURM-assigned projects and tasks.
  • Assist in the completion of ERA and KRI reports on a quarterly basis.
  • Maintain and update procedures regularly to align with current practices and regulations.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in banking and/or financial services required.
  • BA/BS/LLM degree with major in Accounting/Finance or Business or other relevant fields required.
  • Solid knowledge of banking operations, banking products and services,

    regulatory and compliance, correspondent banking business, and marketing required.

  • Bilingual language skills in English and Chinese (both oral and written) required.

Pay Range

Actual salary is commensurate with candidate27s relevant years of experience, skillset, education and other qualifications.

USD $65,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
