Full Job Description
Role Mission :

As Financial Controller, your mission will be to ensure the production of financial data for A+'s operating companies, as well as the implementation and enforcement of the company's internal controls. You'll take on a leadership role, overseeing the accounting technicians. Your position sits at the heart of the group's financial reliability: you're the one providing an accurate, up-to-date read on company performance, protecting the working capital of the operating companies, and making sure internal controls don't just stay on paper.

Responsibilities:
  • Produce and deliver a reliable, up-to-date financial read on company performance, aligned with ratios, budgets, and business strategies.
  • Lead quarterly budget follow-ups with the various business units.
  • Maintain working capital for the operating companies at or above the company's needs and stakeholder requirements (banks, investors, shareholders).
  • Ensure the implementation and compliance of internal controls across the operating companies.
  • Develop the skills of the accounting technicians.
  • Ensure clear, structured accountability reporting to stakeholders.
  • Oversee compliance and proper management of employee administrative files (CNESST, CCQ, vacation, sick leave, etc.).
  • Manage the group's accounts payable and accounts receivable flows.
  • Develop special control projects.


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting;
  • CPA designation required.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in accounting and administration, ideally within the construction industry.
  • Hands-on experience structuring a finance function.
  • Experience with an integrated management system (ERP) and comfort with technology.
  • Experience managing and overseeing teams.
