As a Financial Analyst at theGS- 1160-13, some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Implement policies and procedures for SBA 7(a), 504, and Disaster loan programs and provide advice and assistance to loan center staff regarding servicing, liquidation, and portfolio management activities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for loan program operations by developing instructional materials, communicating policy changes, or advising staff on implementation of new procedures and requirements.
- Direct and/or guide loan centers in day-to-day servicing and liquidation activities involving complex and potentially precedent-setting cases, involving interactions with OCFO, OIG, lenders, and other stakeholders.
- Resolve complex or sensitive loan servicing and liquidation issues involving borrowers, lenders, guarantors, attorneys, or other stakeholders.
- Ability to apply practices, theories, techniques, and methodology of credit management principles to business financial practices and operations.
- Prepare and manage interagency agreements, memoranda of understanding, contracts, executive correspondence, audit responses, and projects necessary to monitor and improve portfolio processes while providing regular reporting and briefings to management.
- Prepare written findings, recommendations, and decision memoranda involving complex financial, credit, or loan administration matters.

QualificationsGS-13: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector:
- Implementing or interpreting policies, procedures, operating guidelines, or program requirements and providing technical guidance regarding loan servicing, liquidation, portfolio management, or related financial program activities; AND
- Conducting analytical review of complex financial credit, lending, or loan administration activities requiring independent judgement and interpretation of applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; AND
- Managing projects, agreements, executive correspondence, reports, briefing, and process improvement initiatives involving analysis, coordination, and recommendations to management. These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume.

If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next level lower than the position being filled.
