Job Description:The Financial Analyst III - Procurement serves as a key finance partner to the sourcing and supply chain teams, providing data-driven insights to support purchasing and cost management decisions. This role contributes to financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis related to direct materials and procurement activities. The analyst supports cost reduction initiatives, improves financial visibility, and helps ensure accurate and timely reporting. This position plays an important role in driving operational efficiency and supporting the organization's financial objectives.
Primary Duties - Partner with sourcing and supply chain teams to provide financial analysis supporting purchasing decisions and cost management initiatives.
- Analyze direct material spending, purchase price variances, and cost trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Support forecasting, planning, and month-end close processes related to procurement and material costs.
- Prepare and deliver financial reporting comparing actual results to budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Track and evaluate cost reduction initiatives and provide visibility into realized savings.
- Assist in developing and improving reporting processes to enhance data accuracy and usability.
- Identify issues, recommend solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to streamline financial processes and reporting activities.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and insights to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job RequirementsEducation and Experience Requirements:- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related roles, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment preferred. Advanced degree or certifications preferred.
