We're growing! Lifepoint Business Services (LBS) Finance is expanding our Site Liaison team to support the integration of newly acquired Scion Health facilities. These newly created positions offer a unique opportunity to play a key role in a major financial integration initiative, partnering with hospital leadership and cross-functional finance teams to support a successful transition while building lasting relationships across our organization.
How you’ll contribute
A Finance Site Liaison Manager who excels in this role:
Serve as the primary finance partner and point of contact for assigned hospital facilities, connecting facility leadership with Lifepoint Business Services (LBS) Finance teams.
Initially support the Scion Health financial integration project, including accounting data validation, reconciliation reviews, journal entry analysis, process testing, and preparation for the transition to Oracle.
Review and validate financial information, including trial balances, reconciliations, and supporting documentation, to ensure accuracy and identify potential issues before integration.
Collaborate with cross-functional project teams, accounting leadership, and hospital stakeholders to support integration milestones, resolve issues, and ensure a successful transition.
Coordinate the end-to-end general ledger month-end close process for assigned facilities, ensuring timely completion of close checklists, reconciliations, financial reporting, and post-close analysis.
Analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Partner with hospital CFOs and operational leadership to provide financial reporting, analysis, and information needed for monthly operating reviews and business decisions.
Coordinate with specialized LBS Finance teams, including Technical Accounting and Balance Sheet Management, to address complex accounting matters and ensure financial accuracy.
Support annual budgeting, financial projections, variance explanations, and other facility-specific financial initiatives.
Monitor accounting controls, identify potential financial risks, and coordinate timely resolution of issues across departments.
Support joint venture accounting, reporting, and distributions, as applicable to assigned facilities.
Assist with regulatory reporting, audits, tax-related information, and other financial compliance requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, standardize workflows, strengthen internal controls, and increase operational efficiency.
Maintain strong working relationships with facility leadership and internal stakeholders through clear communication, organization, accountability, and proactive issue resolution.
Support additional accounting, financial analysis, and special projects as needed to meet organizational and integration objectives.
What we’re looking for
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Additional qualifications include:
Required Qualifications
5–7 years of experience in healthcare financial operations, hospital finance, or comparable complex accounting environments.
Strong technical accounting knowledge, including general ledger accounting, journal entries, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Demonstrated experience analyzing profit and loss statements, balance sheets, financial variances, and accounting discrepancies.
Understanding of revenue recognition, revenue analysis, internal controls, and financial reporting processes.
Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Excel and financial reporting/accounting systems.
Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to operational and executive leadership.
Proven ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, identify potential risks, and follow issues through resolution.
Strong interpersonal skills, accountability, attention to detail, and a collaborative, customer-focused approach.
Ability to support financial integration activities, including detailed reconciliation reviews, data validation, process testing, and cross-functional problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or other relevant professional certification.
Previous hospital accounting, hospital Controller, or healthcare financial leadership experience.
Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, financial integrations, or accounting system conversions.
Familiarity with Oracle or other enterprise financial management systems.
Experience partnering directly with hospital CFOs, executive leadership, and cross-functional finance teams.
Experience identifying and implementing accounting process improvements and standardization initiatives.
