The M&A Accounting team is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of the company's strategic investment portfolio, including minority equity investments, warrants, convertible instruments, debt investments, and other structured transactions. We are looking for an experienced accounting professional to lead complex transactions from deal evaluation through ongoing reporting, while helping scale the processes and systems that support a growing portfolio.
This role is a senior individual contributor with significant cross-functional influence. Own accounting and reporting for a portfolio of strategic investments throughout the transaction lifecycle-from onboarding and initial recognition through valuation, periodic reporting, exits, and other subsequent events.
Partner with valuation specialists and internal stakeholders to assess fair value, observable transactions, impairment indicators, and required disclosures.
Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement support, variance analysis, and control execution.
Serve as a trusted accounting partner to Corporate Development, Legal, Tax, Finance, and business teams; communicate complex accounting conclusions clearly and influence decisions before transactions are finalized.
Identify control, process, and data-quality risks across the investment accounting lifecycle and design scalable solutions.
Support audits and other external reporting requirements by preparing clear, well-supported accounting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
