Field Service Technical Trainer

Aurora, IL | Full-Time | Travel up to 35%

Overview

Mitutoyo America Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technical Trainer to play a key role in developing and supporting our Field Service team. This position combines hands-on technical expertise, training, and advanced troubleshooting to ensure technicians deliver high-quality service on precision measuring equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train, coach, and develop Field Service Technicians and trainees
  • Provide technical support (phone & on-site) for CMMs, vision systems, linear scales, and related equipment
  • Develop and implement training programs aligned with A2LA quality standards
  • Conduct field audits to ensure technician competency and compliance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support technicians and customers
  • Coordinate and administer ongoing training programs
  • Maintain and distribute technical documentation and updates
  • Stay current on new products and training developments


Qualifications

  • Associate degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of technical experience in field service, manufacturing, or related environment
  • Experience with precision measuring equipment (CMM, vision systems, etc.) preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Experienced training, mentoring, or coaching technicians preferred
  • Valid driver's license required


Schedule & Travel

  • Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Travel up to 35% (including customer and field visits)


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $82,000 - $90,000
