Role SummaryWe are looking for a hands-on, field engineer to test, operate, maintain, repair, and refurbish high-performance autonomous off-road ground vehicles. In this role, you will support frequent (weekly) field tests, design and fabricate components or modify existing parts for off-road vehicles, and assume responsibility for safe and efficient field operation of heavy machinery and complex equipment. This role is for someone who is most comfortable hands-on with vehicles, thrives in the field, and knows how to keep machines running when conditions are far from ideal.
Minimum Qualifications- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or similar field, or 3+ years equivalent work experience.
- Experience working hands-on with machine shop tools and welding.
Desired Experience & Qualifications- Experience working with off-road vehicle operations
- Strong experience with vehicle maintenance, modifications, operations.
- Proficiency working with metal and woodworking tools.
- Strong ability to collaborate and solve problems quickly, often in the field.
- Willingness to travel to support remote testing, occasionally on short notice.
