JOB TITLE: Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner
POSITION SUMMARY: The Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive, patient-centered primary care to patients across the lifespan. The NP is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic health conditions while emphasizing preventive care, health education, and wellness. This position partners with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to develop individualized care plans, promote healthy outcomes, and ensure continuity of care. 37 Maintain current knowledge of behavioral health best practices, psychiatric medications, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

37 Maintain complete and timely documentation in the electronic health record in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
37 Identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes, access to care, clinical workflows, and the overall patient experience.

37 Advocate for patients and help identify and address social and other barriers that may affect access to healthcare.

QUALIFICATIONS:
37 Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Preferred Education:
37 Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or other doctoral-level education.
37 Additional education or training in family medicine, primary care, population health, or a related specialty.
Required Licensure:
37 Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Washington.
37 Current prescriptive authority in accordance with state and federal requirements.
37 Current DEA registration.
37 Current BLS certification.
Specialty Certification:
37 Current national board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC)
Required Experience:
37 Experience providing primary care services in an outpatient, family medicine, community health, or similar clinical setting.
37 Experience conducting comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosing common medical conditions, and developing treatment plans.
37 Experience managing acute and chronic health conditions across diverse patient populations.
37 Experience collaborating within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Skills:
37 Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and decision-making skills.
37 Knowledge of evidence-based primary care, preventive medicine, and chronic disease management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
37 Office, outpatient, primary care, and clinical settings with potential exposure to patient care areas.
37 Regular interaction with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and community partners.
37 May involve working with patients presenting with a variety of acute, chronic, and complex health conditions.
37 Flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, or other schedules as needed based on organizational and patient-care requirements.
37 May require occasional travel between facility locations or community-based settings.
