Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Power Systems, Power Electronics, Control Theory, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of controls engineering experience, particularly in power systems.
• 2+ years of programming experience across multiple environments and languages.
• Experience designing and testing PI, PID, or similar control algorithms.
• Strong knowledge of power systems, control theory, and power electronics applications.
• Familiarity with MATLAB and real-time simulators; experience with FACTS or HVDC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain control algorithms for FACTS applications.
• Program and configure the MACH control system to meet project specifications.
• Conduct control logic development, testing, and deployment activities.
• Perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing using real-time simulators.
• Create models and simulations for power electronics and power systems.
• Support factory acceptance testing and commissioning activities.
• Prepare technical documentation and customer submittals.
