Job Summary:

The Facility Security Officer (FSO) is responsible for leading and maintaining NSI-MI Technologies' industrial security program.

The position oversees the company's industrial security program in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), 32 CFR Part 117, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) requirements, and applicable contractual security obligations.

The role will also work closely with others responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable U.S. Government export controls, and trade regulations. This includes ITAR, EAR, export licensing, classification, training, auditing, and related trade compliance processes.

The position works closely with business leadership, Human Resources, Information Technology, Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Legal, Trade Compliance, and other AMETEK functions to maintain effective compliance programs while enabling efficient business execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Security Officer / Industrial Security

• Serve as the designated FSO for NSI-MI Technologies and provide day-to-day leadership and administration of the company's industrial security program.
• Maintain compliance with NISPOM, 32 CFR Part 117, DCSA requirements, contractual security requirements, and applicable company policies.
• Serve as the primary interface with DCSA and other U.S. Government security representatives and prepare the organization for government security reviews and assessments.
• Administer personnel security clearance activities, including clearance processing, access eligibility, indoctrinations, debriefings, visit requests, and maintenance of required security records.
• Administer applicable government security systems and databases, including DISS, NBIS, NISS, and successor systems as required.
• Review, interpret, administer, and maintain DD Form 254 requirements and ensure security obligations are appropriately flowed into applicable programs and subcontract activities.
• Maintain required facility clearance documentation, records, certifications, and security procedures.
• Establish and administer processes for safeguarding classified information and controlled information as applicable to facility and contractual security requirements.
• Administer visitor process, including foreign visitor requirements, access control, visitor management, and associated security procedures.
• Manage foreign travel reporting, foreign contact reporting, adverse information reporting, and other required personnel security reporting.
• Conduct required initial and recurring security briefings, training, awareness programs, and employee communications.
• Investigate and appropriately report actual or suspected security incidents, violations, and vulnerabilities.
• Coordinate security matters with Human Resources, Information Technology, Facilities, Legal, Program Management, and business leadership.
• Oversee physical security measures, access control systems, visitor management, cameras, and access by vendors, consultants, and contractors.
• Maintain security records and documentation in a manner suitable for internal and U.S. Government audit and review.
• Monitor changes to applicable security regulations and translate those requirements into effective business policies, procedures, and controls.
• Provide management with periodic assessments of security risks, vulnerabilities, compliance status, and recommended corrective actions.
• Support proposal, contract, and program teams in evaluating security requirements associated with new and existing business opportunities
• Support the trade compliance program for NSI-MI Technologies' U.S. operations. This includes processes for the classification of products, software, technology, and technical data, working with product and engineering teams to establish appropriate ECCN and USML classifications and may require submission of classification determination requests, including CCATS, as appropriate.
• Support periodic trade compliance audits, risk assessments, and reviews; investigate suspected noncompliance and coordinate appropriate corrective actions and escalation through NSI-MI and AMETEK management, Legal, and Trade Compliance channels.
• Support administration of the trade compliance training program, including conducting required employee training and maintaining appropriate training and compliance records.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Program Management, Sales, Legal, Finance, IT, Procurement, Logistics, and other key stakeholders to provide trade compliance guidance and ensure requirements are appropriately incorporated into business activities and decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Person as defined under applicable U.S. export control laws and regulations.
• Must posses an active Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain a Top Secret Clearance and SCI access.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in industrial security within a U.S. Government, aerospace, defense, or cleared-contractor environment.
• Demonstrated experience performing FSO responsibilities or serving in a substantial industrial security leadership role supporting a cleared facility.
• Working knowledge of NISPOM/32 CFR Part 117 and DCSA industrial security requirements.
• Demonstrated experience with personnel security, seNSI-MI Technologies' programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the U.S. and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current or recent experience serving as the designated FSO for a cleared defense contractor.
• Ability to independently evaluate complex compliance situations, assess risk, identify gaps, and develop practical solutions that meet regulatory requirements while supporting business execution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief employees, senior management, customers, and U.S. Government representatives.
• Demonstrated judgment and discretion in handling classified, controlled, proprietary, personal, and otherwise sensitive information.
• Experience supporting organizations with both classified U.S. Government programs and international commercial or defense customers.
• Advanced experience with ITAR, EAR, export licensing, technical-data controls, and export classifications.
• Experience preparing for and supporting DCSA security reviews and assessments.
• Experience developing or improving industrial security and trade compliance programs.
• Experience supporting engineering, RF, aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, or other highly technical organizations.
• Relevant industrial security, export compliance, or professional certifications. Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
