Description

The Facilities & Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance and facilities function for a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for equipment reliability, facility systems, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, team development, contractors, and maintenance planning.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • 5+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous leadership experience managing maintenance, facilities, electrical, or mechanical technicians
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, drives, sensors, and industrial controls
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing production equipment in an active manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience developing and managing preventive maintenance programs
  • Ability to diagnose equipment failures and perform root-cause analysis
  • Experience managing maintenance priorities, contractors, vendors, and service providers
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, equipment manuals, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Experience with a CMMS, work-order, or maintenance tracking system


Nice-to-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Experience with CNC equipment such as Haas, Doosan, Brother, or similar
  • Experience with die-casting, foundry, furnace, trim-press, or heavy industrial equipment
  • PLC, motor controls, VFD, sensors, and electrical controls troubleshooting
  • Facilities experience with HVAC, compressed air, ventilation, plumbing, cooling, and utilities
  • Welding, fabrication, rigging, equipment installation, relocation, or commissioning experience
  • Experience managing spare parts inventories and capital improvement projects
  • Knowledge of LOTO, machine guarding, electrical safety, hot work, and contractor safety
  • Trade school, apprenticeship, military technical training, industry certification, or associate/bachelor's degree

Responsibilities
  • Lead, schedule, coach, and develop the maintenance and facilities team
  • Troubleshoot and repair CNC, die-casting, presses, and other manufacturing equipment
  • Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime
  • Oversee facility systems, utilities, contractors, vendors, and service providers
  • Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts, service contracts, and capital projects
  • Track downtime, PM completion, repeat failures, maintenance costs, and other KPIs
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and EHS to support production and maintain a safe workplace

Work Environment

Hands-on manufacturing environment requiring regular walking, standing, climbing, bending, kneeling, and working around industrial machinery. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment and lift/carry materials up to 50 lbs. PPE is required.
