This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

Job Summary: The Level 3 Structural Engineer will lead structural design for infrastructure and building projects. This role requires a professionally licensed engineer with the capability to acquire additional licenses in other states as needed to meet project requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and coordinating structural solutions that align with project goals and adhere to relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead structural design for infrastructure and building projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and review structural drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with project standards.
  • Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices.
  • Assist in the acquisition of professional engineering licenses in other states as required for project needs.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and team members on best practices and design principles.
  • Contribute to the development of design standards, templates, and processes to enhance project efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure design alignment with project requirements.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and advancements to inform design practices and strategies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional engineering license (e.g., PE) in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on infrastructure and building projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire and maintain professional engineering licenses in multiple states.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to structural engineering.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in structural engineering software (e.g., STAAD, SAP2000, ETABS).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with sustainable design principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other advanced engineering technologies.


Base Pay Range for:
WA applicants is $121,023.00 - $169,432.20
