Description & Requirements

Reporting to the Director of Analytics, you will be the embedded analytics lead for a new EA SPORTS title in development. This is a senior role focused on building analytics from the ground up: defining success metrics, shaping telemetry, modeling game systems, and helping the team make better product decisions from early testing through launch and beyond. You will have a growth path towards analytics leadership as the title and team scale.

Responsibilities:
  • Build the analytics foundation for a new EA SPORTS title, including measurement frameworks, telemetry requirements, metric definitions, and insight roadmaps.
  • Own and execute the analytics roadmap from user tests through launch and live service; translate product milestones into clear analytics and data deliverables.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and User Research teams to conduct analysis and modeling of player behavior, progression systems, retention systems, and monetization systems.
  • Define telemetry, data quality, and reporting requirements; partner with Data Engineering and Data Architecture to ensure trusted, scalable data and reporting.
  • Develop the analytical foundations needed to support experimentation, segmentation, and personalization.
  • Elevate how insights are used across feature development, user tests, launch readiness, and live-service evolution.

Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of professional experience informing product strategy with data analysis in gaming or adjacent digital products with high independence.
  • Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or related discipline).
  • Expert-level SQL proficiency with experience extracting insights from complex datasets.
  • Experience designing self-service dashboards using Tableau, Looker, or other similar tools.
  • Experience using Python or similar for analysis, modeling, segmentation, or experimentation.
  • Experience with free-to-play live service games, player retention, or economy systems.
