Job Description:

  • Partner with C-suite executives, system leadership, physicians, and operational leaders to monitor organizational performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and advance strategic priorities.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and standardization of system-wide processes, programs, and operational best practices across assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Support data-driven decision-making through the development of dashboards, scorecards, reporting tools, and feedback mechanisms that promote transparency and accountability.
  • Participate in and influence system-wide initiatives, committees, and workgroups to drive critical decisions, prioritization efforts, and performance improvement strategies.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership councils and key stakeholders to build consensus and advance strategic initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ensure departments under scope of responsibility deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards for internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership to ensure teams are appropriately staffed, trained, and operating in alignment with industry best practices and innovative care delivery models.
  • Collaborate with Care Management leadership on strategic planning and initiatives that improve patient throughput, patient experience, and operational outcomes.
  • Monitor Care Management performance metrics and scorecards, identify barriers to success, and support implementation of corrective actions and performance improvement efforts.
  • Partner with Care Management, Utilization Management, Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI), physicians, and operational leaders to optimize patient flow, clinical outcomes, and resource utilization.
  • Provide oversight and leadership for initiatives that ensure appropriate patient status determination, regulatory compliance, and effective utilization management practices.
  • Support CDI strategy and operations to improve the accuracy, completeness, and quality of physician documentation while optimizing reimbursement, quality outcomes, length of stay, and case mix index performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with campus and system leaders to advance physician engagement, documentation improvement, and clinical performance initiatives.
  • Partner with hospitalist leaders and physician groups to optimize multidisciplinary rounding practices, reduce length of stay, improve patient throughput, and enhance the patient experience.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Experience as a Physician advisor and CDI in a large complex, or regional health system.
