Title: Events & Community Manager
Department: Go-To-Market
Team: Marketing
Reports To: Director of Growth Marketing
Supervisory Responsibility: This role currently does not have direct reports.
FLSA Classification: Exempt or Non-Exempt
Travel: This role will be expected to travel for Knit marketing and community events as required, likely as frequent as once a month. Note, Knit US does a US All Team Summit in-person once per year.
Location: Knit is NYC-based and US-remote friendly with team members across the country. Our standard business operating hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm EST.
OverviewKnit is looking for a strategic field and community marketer to build a real, ongoing relationship between Knit and the market researcher community, not just run a good conference booth. This role owns our conference presence (using an already-repeatable playbook), designs and runs regional roadshows, and builds an always-on virtual community for market researchers, so Knit's brand presence in the industry doesn't reset to zero between events.
This role will partner closely with Marketing Operations & Campaigns and demand generation team on logistics like lead tracking and follow-up, but your mandate is building community, advocacy, and differentiated in-person/virtual programming, not campaign execution or systems administration.
What You'll Own:- Conferences & Regional Roadshows
- Execute Knit's conference presence using our established playbook; reliable and on-brand, without needing to reinvent logistics each time
- Plan and run regional roadshows in partnership with Product Marketing, featuring thought leadership, product showcases, customer stories, and networking
- Adapt programming to each local market, no copy-pasting a generic or US-centric format into other regions
- Design in-person touchpoints specifically aimed at reaching Fortune 500 / target ICP accounts, not just general conference foot traffic
Community & Content-Led Programming
- Build and run an ongoing virtual community for market researchers; a reason for our audience to stay engaged between events vs just a mailing list
- Design content-led community formats anchored in Knit's proprietary data and strategic topics, beyond generic conference dinners and panels toward something differentiated
- Partner with product marketing and thought leadership owners to source the data and points of view that anchor community programming
Customer Advocacy
- Build and nurture relationships with customers who can serve as advocates: speakers, references, case study participants, and community contributors
- Identify and cultivate customer stories to feature across roadshows, the virtual community, and other programming in partnership with Product Marketing
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with the Marketing Operations & Campaigns Manager on lead capture, tracking, and follow-up logistics for events
- Work with sales and CS to identify which accounts and customers to prioritize for advocacy work and in-person touchpoints
Who You Are:Required Skills & Experiences- Experience building or running a community program (virtual community, membership program, always-on advocate network), not just executing one-off event logistics
- A track record designing content-led event formats, comfortable using proprietary data or a point of view to drive engagement rather than defaulting to standard panels/dinners
- Field marketing experience running programs across different regions, with real cultural/local sensitivity rather than one reused template
- Customer marketing or advocacy experience: comfortable building 1:1 relationships with customers and turning them into champions
- A strategic thinker who can operate with some ambiguity and build new formats, not just execute a checklist
- Comfortable partnering with an operations/campaigns function on logistics without owning those systems yourself
- Bonus: Experience in the market research / insights industry, or familiarity with its conference circuit (Quirks, IIeX, etc.)
What Success Looks Like- The virtual community has active, returning members between events, not just event-day attendance
- Conference execution runs smoothly off the existing playbook, freeing up time for strategic programming rather than logistics firefighting
- Regional roadshows feel impactful and relevant, and are a successful Knit owned initiative
- Target ICP accounts have real in-person touchpoints with Knit that build authentic relationships
- A growing, visible pipeline of customer advocates: speakers, references, case studies
Perks & Benefits:Upon joining the Knit team, you will receive:
- Competitive Salary + Commission (for applicable roles)
- Equity Options
- Healthcare (Medical, Dental, and Vision)
- Additional Coverage
- Company Laptop
- One-time Onboarding Technology Stipend
