Estimator with a strong background in
heavy civil construction and underground wet utilities to join our growing team.
This role will lead estimating efforts for complex infrastructure projects including
storm drain, sanitary sewer, and water systems across public works and private development markets. You'll play a key role in developing competitive bids, supporting preconstruction activities, and partnering with operations teams to successfully transition projects from award to execution.

What You'll Do- Develop detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for underground utility projects.
- Review plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis.
- Manage estimates using HCSS HeavyBid or similar software.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Identify project risks, opportunities, and value-engineering solutions.
- Support preconstruction planning, budgeting, and project handoff.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, and business partners.
What We're Looking For- 3 to 5 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
- Strong experience with underground wet utilities, including:
- Water systems
- Sanitary sewer
- Storm drain infrastructure
- Experience estimating public works and municipal projects.
- Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar estimating software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Knowledge of heavy civil construction markets.
- Experience with Design-Bid-Build, CMAR, Design-Build, or JOC project delivery methods.
The base compensation range for the role of Estimator role posted above is $95,000 to $130,000 annually.
