We are seeking a ESS Security Systems Engineer to join our federal team at military base at Ft. Hunter Liggett, California location. Ft. Hunter Liggett provides world class training for combat support and combat service support units of the Army Reserve and offers excellent training opportunities to all U.S. military components and those of allied nations. It is exceptionally well suited to large-scale joint exercises. At present, the installation encompasses approximately 165,000 acres.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 *Ranged based on an hourly rate.

As a ESS Security Systems Engineer, you will:
- Perform maintenance and service on access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance systems.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot networked server systems and Software House C• CURE 9000 software.
- Assist with system programming, integrations, and setup for new and existing ESS deployments.
- Conduct functional and acceptance testing to verify system performance.
- Provide updates to management and customers on project progress and issues.
- Ensure compliance with site safety, security, and clearance protocols.
- Keeps management and JCI contractors or customer informed of job progress and issues
- Assists in performing site-specific training for owner / operator on the total building control solution
- Train operators and end-users on system functionality; including End-User training.
- Conducts maintenance and service work of existing Electronic Security Systems (ESS) to include, but not limited to, access controls, intrusion detection, and camera systems. Specific systems include but not limited to: SoftwareHouse C-cure 9000, DMP, MDI and American Dynamics.
- Assists with security system programming and setup.
- Conducts testing to ensure proper operation of equipment after installation or repairs
- Conducts testing of system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service.
- Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and cleans up installation debris.
- Performs other duties as required
- Must be able to work independently without direct support.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of demonstrated proficiency and experience working with commercial and/or industrial Electronic Security Systems (access controls, intrusion detection systems, CCTV/camera systems, etc), preferably with programming, configurations, and integrations.
- Demonstrated experience with Software House C• CURE 9000
- Working knowledge of DMP, MDI, American Dynamics, and CCTV systems.
- Strong computer skills, including drafting tools and system documentation.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a US Government Security Clearance which requires US Citizenship.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly with computer-related drafting tools
- Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on US Department of Defense Military bases.
- Active DOD Secret clearance (Preferred)
- Software House C• CURE 9000 (Minimum Level 1 - Certification required).
- Exceptions may be made if candidates are able to obtain proper certifications within 90 days of employment; but still requires extensive experience with SWH C-Cure 9000.
