Job Description: Equity Capital Markets Healthcare - Bio-Pharmaceutical Director

Corporate Title: Director

Location: New York, NY

DB's Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Group structures, markets and executes bespoke equity transactions for corporations and financial institutions (including private equity firms). The team operates on the private side, working alongside client coverage teams in Investment Banking, and product teams such as Strategic Equity, Debt Capital Markets and Leveraged Finance. Example products / transactions executed by ECM include Initial Public Offerings, Follow-on offerings, Block Sales, At-the-market programs and private placements.

You will be joining the Healthcare Group in the Equity Capital Markets Team

What You'll Do
  • Support origination efforts, evaluation of new opportunities, and execution of deals, working on a broad scope of assignments for corporate clients in a global firm environment
  • Act as a key execution resource working closely with internal partners to create client deliverables and respond to ad-hoc client requests for maximum impact
  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of debt markets, Bio-Pharmaceutical sector financing activity and client developments
  • Prepare recommendations on timing, size, structure, and investor universe for potential transactions and communicate findings to team members
  • Speak to investors directly to gauge the appetite of potential investors


How You'll Lead
  • Responsible for ensuring that originated deals proceed to conclusion. Work closely with internal constituents, lawyers and representatives from other investment banks in the context of deal execution
  • Liaising between Sales/Coverage and Client Advisory to ensure a shared understanding.
  • Ensure that bank policies and guidelines applicable to the division are complied with to ensure that risk is appropriately mitigated


Skills You'll Need
  • Established experience providing quantitative and analytical support for M&A and capital markets transactions (IPOs, equity follow-ons, investment grade and leveraged finance equity offerings), preferably in the Life Sciences space (pharma, biotech, spec pharma)
  • Significant network and experience within the arena with extensive, product and market knowledge
  • Experience in market trend interpretation
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, engineering, life sciences is preferred (advanced degree preferred)
  • SIE, Series 79, 63 licensing

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role work in person in the New York, NY office.

The base salary range for this position in New York City is $300,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
