Aerospace Equipment Specialist (Modeling, Simulation, & Analysis)
Drive the acceleration of next-generation aerospace technology as the principal Equipment Specialist for Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A). Working within the vital Support Branch, you will apply high-fidelity, Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) environments to integrate advanced weapon systems and validate experimental software-based platforms before they hit the battlefield.
What you will accomplish:
- Architect Tomorrow's Flight Line: Work at the leading edge of aerospace engineering, using high-fidelity simulations to test, evaluate, and integrate complex aircraft subsystems and weapon payloads.
- Pioneer LVC Environments: Lead the deployment of Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) simulations-bridging the gap between physical hardware and advanced virtual combat environments.
- Operational Launchpad: Join a Support Branch dedicated to building the operational foundation that transforms experimental software concepts into deployment-ready capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Aerospace Simulation & Analysis: Conduct detailed Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) of high-consequence aerospace systems, subsystems, and weapons to verify structural and electronic integrity.
- Capability Integration & Testing: Deliver technical expertise to rapidly integrate new capabilities into current weapon systems, accelerating development timelines.
- Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) Oversight: Build, configure, and maintain high-fidelity virtual battle spaces to run complex system testing in simulated combat environments.
- Foundation Support for Engineering: Assist in delivering experimental and operational software-based systems, ensuring infrastructure is perfectly tuned to support military development teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- U.S. Citizenship
- May occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
- Obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours
- Designated drug testing position
Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
1. Extensive knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.
2. Master knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.
3. Extensive knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.
4. Ability to work with lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
5. Skill in interpreting and applying complex Department of Defense (DOD, United States Air Force (USAF), Air Force Material Command (AFMC), and Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
