Full Job Description
Environmental Senior Field Coordinator - Permanent, FT

Office Location: Fort St. John, BC. Candidate is expectedto be able to work from our Fort St. John location and must have travelflexibility to conduct remote field / camp work. A relocation and/or sign-in bonus willbe offered for the right candidate.

Pay Range: $38 to $47/hour. Compensation is based on experience, education, and overall suitability for the role. Our total compensation package includes overtime, extended health benefits with no cost sharing, vacation pay, external training budget, and a bonus profit-share program designed to favor field staff.

Overview

The primary function of the Environmental Senior Field Coordinator is to assist the Environmental Project Manager with planning and completing a project. This role may be responsible for project budgets, timelines, deliverables, field completion of advanced programs and preparation of technical reports. This position maintains direct connection to the field staff, and work in the field may be required as determined by each project.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead remediation programs, including Stage 1 and 2 ESAs, Phase I and IIs, soil and groundwater treatment, soil and groundwater monitoring and risk assessments.
  • Lead reclamation programs, including Schedule B and detailed site assessments.
  • Lead field operations in aspects which may include cost controls, planning, scheduling, and estimating.
  • Complete technical report writing and signature on factual technical reports.
  • Manage project's contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
  • Manage data and file compilation for internal and client databases.
  • Coordinate with and manage Contractors.
  • Maintain billable targets as set by Supervisor.
  • Provide excellent levels of service to our internal and external clients.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications for Environmental Senior Field Coordinator
  • Minimum of 5+ years field experience related to contaminated sites/reclamation in BC.
  • 2-year technical diploma or degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering.
  • Working towards an accredited designation recognized in BC.
  • Experience with writing and reviewing technical reports.
  • Experience with BCER Regulatory Guidelines.
  • Flexible work schedule to be able to work in the field.
  • Ability to work outside and potential remote locations in adverse weather conditions, when required.
  • Collaborate successfully with your team and environmental contractors on projects.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs, specifically Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
