Position Overview

EA is seeking an experienced environmental scientist with a focus on natural resources. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing ecological assessment, permitting and restoration projects nationwide with a stong emphasis on wetland related projects. The successful applicant will work primarily out of the mid-Atlantic region, but will support offices across the county.
Responsibilities

• Leading a variety of natural resource field surveys, data collection and management and report writing.
• Mentor junior and mid-level staff.
• Interact with clients and agency representatives.
• Develop and lead proposal efforts.

Note: This position will require some out-of-state travel approximately once per month.
Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7-10 years experience with wetland delineations and wetland permitting
• Experienced with vegetation identification

Note: This position requires specific driving duties. You must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer.
Desired Qualifications

• Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS)
• Maryland DNR Qualified Professional (QP)
• Experience with wetland permitting in Maryland

Pay Range

$85,000-$105,000 USD

The EA pay range for this position is intended as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation or salary. Factors considered when making an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, and compliance with federal and state laws.
