Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP (Blakes) is seeking an Associate with two to five years of relevant experience to join our top-ranked Environmental, Indigenous and Regulatory group in the Vancouver office.
As a leading Canadian business law firm, Blakes advises on the full spectrum of environmental, regulatory and Indigenous law issues that shape energy, infrastructure, mining, natural resource and other industrial developments across Canada. Drawing on extensive experience with environmental assessments, permitting and approvals, regulatory compliance, risk management, ESG initiatives and disputes, the group helps clients navigate complex federal, provincial and territorial regulatory regimes while advancing commercial objectives and minimizing legal risk. Our team also provides ongoing practical guidance on Indigenous rights, consultation and accommodation obligations, UNDRIP, treaty and governance issues, relationship development, impact and benefit agreements, regulatory processes and Indigenous equity participation.
Our team includes specialists with experience and insight into every key industry sector in Canada. We promote cross-office collaboration and foster a multidisciplinary approach to tailor our legal advice to align with our clients' business objectives. Our team also regularly works alongside U.S. and international law firms and advisors, assisting clients with complex legal issues that are specific to Canadian operations or international in scope and extend into Canada.
