Job Title: Experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety Representative
Status: Full-time Professional
Annual Salary Range: $77,600 - $146,500
*Salary commensurate with education and experience.
Job SummaryAs an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Representative at BPMI, you support company operations in areas including but not limited to implementing and maintaining safety programs and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote a safe working environment, conducting risk assessments, developing safety policies, conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with applicable requirements and providing training to employees on safety protocols. Work may include investigating incidents and accidents, identifying root causes, and developing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences, and staying up to date with relevant regulations and industry best practices to ensure continuous improvement in EHS performance.
Essential Duties:- Provide support to employees with general concerns by making recommendations to appropriate personnel to implement a change.
- Initiate training efforts to include data entry of records, compiling reports, scheduling, facilitating new employee training, coordination and performance of contractor training, and identifying training opportunities.
- Plan updates to policies and procedures related to record keeping, reporting and safety, as needed.
- Manage inventory of safety equipment and prepare quotes and justification for future purchase requests.
- Coordinate the audit(s) environmental controls and record keeping ensuring standards are met; observe work practices and provide feedback to employees.
- Evaluate current state EHS practices and develop action plans to drive improvements.
- Develop department safety checklists and inspections.
- Perform job safety assessments and job hazard analyses.
- Perform job site safety audits to identify and correct insufficient/unsafe conditions or behaviors.
- Record and investigate all EHS related incidents; partner with necessary parties to resolve any identified corrective actions.
- Prepare and communicate company level metrics to immediate and senior management.
- Maintain an 'audit-ready' state of compliance applicable to internal and external regulatory.

Minimum Job Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related degree from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience.
- Twelve (12) or more years of completed education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years of experience requirements.
- Requires a security clearance; however, all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance is required.
Preferred Job Requirements:- Certified Safety Professional certification.
- Experience in Hazardous Materials Management.
- Experience with Fire and Life Safety inspections.
- First Aid/CPR certification, Instructor certification.
- Experience in safety investigations and report writing.
- Experience in Employee Safety Training Curriculum Development.
