Are you an experienced EHS professional who enjoys being on the plant floor, solving problems, and partnering with operations? Pretium Packaging is looking for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join our growing manufacturing facility in Manchester, Pennsylvania.
This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on environmental compliance, safety, new equipment, and continuous improvement. We are looking for someone who understands a true manufacturing environment and can help drive EHS as our operation continues to grow.
What You'll Do- Lead and support site Environmental, Health & Safety programs and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, local, and company EHS requirements.
- Drive environmental programs including waste management, emissions, stormwater, chemical handling, and hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
- Support environmental inspections, permits, documentation, and regulatory reporting.
- Partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance on EHS requirements for new equipment, installations, and process changes.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments throughout the manufacturing operation.
- Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses and lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain OSHA logs, EHS documentation, compliance records, and safety metrics.
- Deliver and reinforce training in Lockout/Tagout, PPE, hazard communication, machine guarding, ergonomics, and emergency response.
- Identify and reduce risks associated with plastics processing equipment, robotics and automation, compressed air systems, material handling, resins, and other manufacturing processes.
- Support emergency preparedness, including fire safety, evacuation procedures, spill response, drills, and medical emergency coordination.
- Build employee engagement and accountability around EHS through strong plant-floor presence and partnership with leadership.
What You'll Bring- 5-7 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience with environmental compliance and environmental programs.
- Experience in plastics, injection molding, blow molding, or similar process manufacturing strongly preferred.
- Experience working with production equipment, manufacturing processes, and raw materials-not solely assembly operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.
- Experience with incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and corrective action.
- Ability to work effectively with plant employees, operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- CHST, ASP, First Aid/CPR/AED, or other relevant safety certifications are a plus.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
