Who You'll Work With 

At Design Group, you'll collaborate with experienced leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to solve complex challenges for some of the world's leading companies. You'll join a growing team of more than 1,500 professionals across 45 U.S. offices where you'll be empowered to make an impact, develop your expertise, and grow your career. 

What You'll Do 

In this role, you'll support the planning and construction management of design-build capital projects under the guidance of preconstruction managers, construction project managers, and site superintendents. You'll work with project teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to coordinate schedules, costs, documentation, safety, and quality activities. This position plays an important role in delivering safe, well-managed projects for industrial clients while giving you broad exposure to the full construction lifecycle. You'll build the experience needed to progress toward future site management or construction project management responsibilities. 

  • Support the planning, design coordination, and construction management of design-build capital projects 

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, phasing plans, bid lists, punch lists, and subcontractor notices to proceed 

  • Track project budgets, cost forecasts, change orders, cost estimates, and subcontractor invoices 

  • Prepare bid documents, scopes of work, safety plans, and other project documentation 

  • Process requests for information, bulletins, submittals, and related construction documents 

  • Conduct on-site safety reviews and subcontractor scope reviews to support safe project execution 

  • Implement project quality control activities and document completion requirements 

  • Prequalify vendors and subcontractors in alignment with project needs 

  • Coordinate with project managers, site teams, clients, designers, vendors, and subcontractors across multiple project phases 

  • Participate in post-project reviews and capture lessons learned to improve future project delivery 

  • Build experience across industrial projects in manufacturing, distribution, cold storage, advanced technology, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, and food processing environments 

What You'll Bring 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field 

  • Construction industry experience gained through an internship, co-op, academic project, or professional role 

  • OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification 

  • Experience supporting project documentation, scheduling, cost tracking, estimating, safety, quality, or subcontractor coordination 

  • Ability to travel for project requirements, including client-site activities, installation and start-up support, meetings, training, seminars, forums, and conventions 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Construction project management experience 

  • Experience supporting facility construction or renovation projects in the food, beverage, consumer products, life sciences, manufacturing, or distribution industries 

Compensation 

The approximate pay range for this position is $75,000-$90,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as geographic location of the position.
