POSITION OVERVIEW
TransGrid Energy is seeking an Enterprise IT & ERP Manager to lead the selection, implementation, and ongoing ownership of the company's ERP platform and the business applications around it. This is a hands-on role for someone who has designed and run ERP systems end to end, is comfortable working directly in configuration and data, and can see where the next generation of AI tools can make the business faster and smarter.
The successful candidate will lead the evaluation and selection of the ERP platform, drive its implementation with an outside partner, and then own it day to day. They will also act as the internal thought leader on applying AI to finance, procurement, project accounting, and other business processes. You will work closely with Finance, Project Development, Construction, and Asset Management, alongside the IT operations team and external partners. The role begins largely as an individual contributor, with the opportunity to build a team as the company grows.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the evaluation and selection of the company's ERP platform by gathering requirements across Finance, Projects, and Operations; managing RFPs and vendor demonstrations; comparing total cost of ownership; and presenting recommendations to leadership.
Manage the ERP implementation partner through project scope, timelines, data migration, testing, training, and go-live.
Hands-on design and configure ERP modules supporting general ledger, project accounting, fixed assets, procurement, inventory, and reporting for a growing portfolio of BESS and PV projects.
Own the ERP platform after go-live, ensuring system availability, performance, data integrity, and user satisfaction.
Establish and manage disciplined processes for system enhancements, upgrades, patches, testing, releases, documentation, and configuration standards.
Oversee integrations between the ERP and adjacent systems, including Microsoft 365, banking, CRM, project management, and data and analytics platforms, while maintaining clean master data.
Define and maintain ERP security roles, segregation of duties, and audit controls, supporting internal and external audits.
Manage ERP vendors and support partners, ensuring delivery against agreed scopes and service levels, and oversee ERP budgets, licensing, and contracts.
Develop and maintain the long-term ERP and business applications roadmap, including upgrades, new modules, and expanded capabilities as the company's asset portfolio grows.
Partner with Finance, Operations, and Project teams to translate business requirements into practical system solutions and train users to maximize platform value.
Serve as the company's internal thought leader on AI-enabled enterprise processes, educating leaders and staff on practical opportunities, risks, and costs.
Identify, prioritize, and deliver AI-enabled improvements such as intelligent invoice processing, automated reconciliations, forecasting, AI assistants for ERP support, and natural-language reporting.
Establish guidelines for responsible AI use, addressing data privacy, security, model accuracy, and human review of AI-driven decisions.
Define success metrics for ERP automation and AI initiatives, measure business impact, and report results to leadership.
