Full Job Description
The Enterprise Architect is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and governance of the organization's technology architecture. This role partners with cross-functional teams to ensure technology solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business and operational requirements. The Enterprise Architect establishes architecture standards, evaluates current and future-state systems, and provides technical leadership for infrastructure, applications, data, and integration initiatives across the enterprise.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
Enterprise Architecture & Technology Strategy – 90%
• Design and implement enterprise-wide technology strategies aligned with business objectives and regulatory compliance requirements in healthcare
• Lead architecture reviews and establish standards for system design, technology selection, and implementation across all platforms
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to define scalable solutions
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies that enhance competitiveness and reduce technical debt
• Ensure security, data privacy, and disaster recovery protocols are integrated into all architectural decisions
• Mentor engineering leaders and technical teams on architectural principles and best practices
• Document architecture decisions and maintain current technology roadmaps for stakeholder alignment
• Partner with security and compliance teams to maintain certifications and audit readiness
Team Management - 10%
• Supports, mentors, and professionally develops team and acts as an escalation point
• Participates in development of department goals, objectives, plans, and budgets
• Interviews and selects candidates for hire; implements associate engagement strategies
• Maintains the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team
• Conducts annual performance evaluations; coaches associates to achieve maximum performance
• Participates in annual Succession Planning and Talent Review pre-planning
• Creates and delivers associate corrective actions and performance improvement plans as needed
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS (IF APPLICABLE)
• May work on special projects or other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY/BUDGETARY/EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION RESPONSIBILITY
• Aware of budget, helps manage expenses
• Manages a team of direct reports
QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or relevant experience is required
• 12+ years of software architecture and technology leadership experience
• 5+ years in a formal enterprise architect role or equivalent
• Experience in healthcare staffing, workforce management, or related healthcare IT domains
• Experience with machine learning and AI applications
• Experience with Salesforce and/or Workday Financials
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Enterprise architecture certifications (TOGAF, Zachman) or equivalent demonstrated expertise preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices architectures
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
• Strong knowledge in system security, data privacy, and compliance frameworks
• Advanced knowledge in API design, database architecture, and integration patterns
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices in enterprise scale environments
• Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations (CMS, ONC, FDA)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet commitments and deadlines.
